Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions. If yours is not here, drop us a message.

Is Snipe Deals free to use?
Yes — completely. No login, no paywall, no subscription. Display ads (AdSense) may appear in the future once the site reaches the policy threshold; affiliate links may be added with explicit disclosure in the footer.
How often are prices updated?
Every 24 hours, at 06:00 UTC. A timestamp on the home page shows the last refresh. Prices in the table are orientative — final checkout price is in the store, in your local currency.
What stores do you cover?
15+ digital stores via the CheapShark API: Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Humble Bundle, Fanatical, GreenManGaming, GamersGate, DLGamer, IndieGala, Microsoft Store, WinGameStore, GameBillet, Voidu (when active), Newegg, GameFly. The exact active set depends on CheapShark.
Why do you not list Kinguin, G2A or MMOGA?
They are grey-market key resellers. We do not include them for reasons of trust and indie-dev sentiment. See methodology.
Are you affiliated with Steam, Epic or any of the stores?
No — Snipe Deals is independent. We use public APIs to discover and display prices. Logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Why are prices in USD?
CheapShark reports prices in USD. The final checkout price is shown in your local currency at the store. Currency conversion is handled by the store, not by us.
Do you keep a price history?
Yes — we accumulate our own historical database from May 2026 onwards. We do not import historical data from third parties (IsThereAnyDeal terms prohibit it). "Lowest in last N days" only applies within our own collected window.
How do I report a wrong price or a missing game?
Email us via contact. Please include the game slug from our URL (e.g. phonopolis) and a screenshot if possible.
Will you add wishlists, alerts, or accounts?
Not yet. If there is demand we will consider it — drop us a note via contact. Account features add operational cost; we want to validate demand first.
What is the technical stack?
Python ETL → Laravel static site generator → Cloudflare Pages. Frontend: CSS + Alpine.js (no React, Vue, or heavy JS — performance-first). Data in SQLite, refreshed daily via Gitea Actions cron. See methodology.
