How it works
Snipe Deals takes a clean three-step approach to PC game price comparison.
1. Hunt
Every 24 hours, our ETL queries the public CheapShark API for the latest deals across 15+ digital stores: Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Humble, Fanatical, GreenManGaming, GamersGate, DLGamer and friends. We pull every active deal — sale, bundle, or normal-price update.
We enrich each game with metadata from Steam Storefront (description, screenshots, genres, developer, Metacritic score, trailer) and fall back to RAWG for non-Steam titles.
2. Compare
For each game we compute the lowest current price across stores, the normal price reference, and the discount percentage. We surface the cheapest seller first, but the full table is visible — you can verify and pick a store you trust.
The ranking page (Top deals) sorts by discount percentage; ties are broken by absolute price. The full ranked top is published; no editorial cherry-picking.
3. Snipe
Click through to the store. The store handles checkout, payment, region pricing, and currency conversion. Snipe Deals is a price discovery tool — we do not process payments, hold keys, or have access to your store account.
What we do not do
- Grey market resellers. Kinguin, G2A, MMOGA are excluded — see methodology for the reasoning.
- Real-time tickers. The data is refreshed every 24 hours, not every second. We say so plainly.
- Account features. No accounts, no wishlists, no email alerts — yet. May come later if there is demand.
